The Italian forward only joined the Reds this summer, moving from boyhood club AC Milan for £16m but has so far failed to impress on his return to English football.
The 24 year-old, who scored 18 goals in Serie A last season, has failed to net for the Anfield side in all seven of his Premier League appearances.
This led to rumours that he was on his way back to Italy in January as fans become increasingly impatient and Napoli were named as a possible destination.
But now former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has put an end to these claims by coming out and saying the club are not interested in purchasing the Italian international.
He told Gazzetta dello Sport: “There is absolutely nothing in it. I have never considered Balotelli as an option.
“The Liverpool fans are loyal. If he works hard on the field they will always support him.”
