Borussia Dortmund discuss Marco Reus

Borussia Dortmund general manager, Hans-Joachim Watzke, has warned Premier League giants that they face an uphill challenge of signing Marco Reus due to his affection with his current club.

The German international has been strongly linked with a move away from Dortmund over the past few months, with Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal all interested in signing the midfielder, but Watzke insists that it will be tough to prize him away from the club.

The 25-year-old was in the media earlier this week after it was revealed that he was taking Spanish lessons, fueling speculation that he’s on his way to La Liga with Real Madrid and FC Barcelona both keen, but as it stands, Reus is still firmly focused on Dortmund.

In the Summer, Reus’ ÂŁ20million release clause comes into play and activates, which will fuel a bidding war between clubs, but the general manager insists it will be tough to take Reus away from the club.

He told Stern magazine: “I believe that fundamentally Marco would love to stay here because he loves the city and he loves Borussia Dortmund.

“But I’m sure the people who are interested in him moving will provide him with other arguments.”
