Brazil ease through to Last 8.

Brazil advanced to the World Cup quarter-finals after defeating Mexico 2-0 in Samara.

Mexico showed a lot of promise. Actually both teams started quickly and enjoyed attempts on goal within the first five minutes.

It was Juan Carlos Osorio’s men who had started it the brighter way but lacked the finishing quality to make their dominance count.

Liverpool superstar Roberto Firmino and particularly PSG star Neymar was again the match-winner for the Brazilians.

Nyemar scored the opening goal from a brilliant Willian cross.

Mexico legs were tiring and after Neymar was set free by Fernandinho.

It was his saved shot that fell perfectly as a rebound to Roberto Firmino who tapped home from two yards.

Guillermo Ochoa for Mexico was superb and now is the first goalkeeper to make 20 saves at the 2018 World Cup.

But Second-half goals from Neymar and Roberto Firmino saw Brazil beat Mexico 2-0 to advance to the World Cup last eight in Samara on Tuesday.

Brazil will play the winners of Sweden vs Switzerland on 6 July.
