Winger joins Blues after snubbing Manchester United
Chelsea Football Club have announced the signing of Pedro from FC Barcelona.
The winger has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League, but with Manchester United the likely destination.
However, after Louis Van Gaal withdrew his interest in the Spaniard, it was revealed that the player was flying to London in order to complete a medical at Chelsea.
The 28-year-old has now finalised his move to the Premier League champions and has now spoken to the club’s official website after securing the move.
He said: ‘I am very happy to be here. I am very excited to start my adventure at Chelsea and I am here to keep winning titles.
‘Thanks to the club and the supporters for giving me the opportunity to put the blue shirt on.’
Pedro becomes The Blues’ fourth signing, following Radamel Falcao, Baba Rahman and Asmir Begovic.
