Aston Villa midfielder IS leaving club
Aston Villa star Fabian Delph is currently undergoing a medical at Manchester City, despite announcing just days ago that he would be staying put at Villa Park.
A lot of speculation linked the midfielder with a move to the Etihad Stadium last week, but putting speculation to bed, the Villa captain released a statement revealing his desire to stay put.
Delph U-Turn
However, things have seemingly changed and Delph is now having a medical in Manchester and could complete his move as soon as the weekend.
It’s believed City will pay Villa £8million for the 25-year-old and he will become the club’s second summer signing, following Raheem Sterling.
It’s a double blow for Villa as they look set to lose Christian Benteke to Liverpool as well sometime next week after his release clause was activated.
