Real and Atletico not allowed to complete signings until summer 2017
Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have both been banned from making transfers until summer 2017.
The Spanish duo have been hit with the transfer penalty, similar to what FC Barcelona experienced recently, and are now not allowed to make any signings until 2017.
Both La Liga sides will be able to be active in this current window, but after it’s shut, they will then no longer be able to be active in the summer transfer window, or the January transfer window in 2017.
This news has a massive impact on Premier League duo David De Gea and Eden Hazard, as both were linked with making mega money moves to Real over the summer.
