Arsenal Football Club have confirmed that Jack Wilshere will be out for approximately three months after having surgery on his ankle.
The Englishman picked up the knock during Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium, and the club have confirmed today that he has undergone surgery and all has gone well.
Arsene Wenger confirmed after the United game that Wilshere would see a specialist in the week, but they have now revealed that surgery has been done and he will now have three months on the sidelines.
This is the second big injury the 22-year-old has suffered, and it comes after several high quality displays for both club and country.
