Brendan Rodgers makes Isco January priority

Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers, will make Real Madrid playmaker, Isco, his top transfer priority in January.

The Spaniard, who signed for Madrid from Malaga back in 2013, has started to get more first-team football at the Bernabeu due to Gareth Bale’s injury, but with the Welshman due to come back, Isco may once again drop to the bench.

Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti, was full of praise for the 22-year-old recently and is not keen on the idea of selling him, but Rodgers is prepared to spend over ÂŁ30million in order to sign him in the New Year.

Liverpool are lacking power up front after Luis Suarez’s departure and Daniel Sturridge’s injury, and Rodgers believes Isco could help provide a different dimension up top.
