Gareth Bale will not be joining Manchester United anytime soon after Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, reiterated his desire to keep the Welshman at the Bernabeu.

The former-Tottenham Hotspur winger has been strongly linked with a return to the Premier League, with Louis Van Gaal keen on signing him, and it was reported that a ÂŁ90million offer could be in place to make the transfer happen.

However, when asked about Bale, who is currently recovering from injury, Ancelotti reiterated how important the winger is to Madrid.

He said: “It seems like many have forgotten that Gareth Bale scored in the Copa del Rey and Champions League finals.

“He is equally important as James Rodriguez and Isco.”

Reports suggested that Bale’s importance to the first-team had diminished after a fine run of performances from Isco, but Ancelotti has put those fears to bed and has dealt a massive transfer blow to United.
