Former-Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he wanted to kill one of his players during his time at Stamford Bridge.

Now at Real Madrid, Ancelotti was one of The Blues’ most successful manager, guiding them to a double in 2010, but he has now revealed that there were times when he lost his patience, especially with one player in particular, who cannot be named.

Despite not being named, it is thought that the player Ancelotti was on about is someone who has had a whole host of behaviour problems in his past.

‘We’ve never had any problems with the players, just one time at Chelsea. One player didn’t show respect and I tried to kill him but it wasn’t possible,’ Ancelotti told The Times.

‘The player is the property of the club and sometimes you cannot do what you want.’

The Italian manager also revealed how he dropped Didier Drogba due to his lateness.

He said: ‘One time Drogba arrived 30 minutes late for a game, so he didn’t play, but the key is mutual respect.’
