‘Forgotten man’ at Anfield has played his last game for Klopp

Reports are suggesting that ‘forgotten man’ at Liverpool Steven Caulker has already played his last game for the club.

Caulker was brought in on-loan in the January transfer window as backup for injured defensive players, Skrtel, Sakho, Toure and Dejan Lovren, but the Reds insisted on a temporary deal rather than a permanent one., but has made very limited appearences in the side. His first two appearences were off the bench and up front under Klopp.

He’s made a total of 4 appearences now and has not been in a matchday squad since February. The 24-year-old was not considered for Sunday’s defeat to Swansea, despite Klopp opting to rest a number of first-team regulars ahead of Thursday’s Europa League semi-final second leg against Villarreal. He’s been fit and ready for selection, he is just very far down the pecking order.

He had been on loan at Southampton in the first half of the season but was also out of favour and the Saints agreed to terminate his spell at the club.
