Chelsea have added Celtic goalkeeper, Craig Gordon, to their transfer shortlist as their hunt for a Petr Cech replacement heats up.
The Blues are expected to lose their veteran goalkeeper in the Summer due to lack of first-team football at Stamford Bridge, and so far, two players have been linked with a move to West London.
Tottenham Hotspur’s Brad Friedel is one name being mentioned, whilst Gordon from Celtic is another.
Cech is ready to leave Chelsea after falling behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order, and with first-team football on his agenda, he is ready to quit the club at the end of this season, with Arsenal, Liverpool and AS Roma all reportedly interested.
That means Jose Mourinho will be in the market for a new backup ‘keeper and according to reports in Scotland, Gordon has been mentioned.
The 32-year-old has been superb for the SPL side this season and could be tempted with a move to England.
