The move is now all-but done

Spanish newspaper Marca claim that Fabregas has agreed a four-year contract worth £8.1m a year at Stamford Bridge.

It represents a considerable pay-rise to what he was on at Barcelona

The Blues will shell out around £30m to sign him but the fee could rise depending on any trophies he wins.

Marca claim Fabregas is fed up with the lack of support he receives from the Barcelona fans.

The playmaker – a boyhood Barca supporter – has been booed by the Nou Camp faithful on numerous times this season.

Fabregas has become available after the La Liga giants failed to win a trophy this season.

Arsenal had a buyback clause but they opted not to trigger it to re-sign their former skipper.

Liverpool, Manchester United and City were also understood to have shown some interest.
