Chelsea have said that they will view the video footage after there were allegations regarding racism.

The incident involved a Blues supporter who allegedly threw racist abuse towards Raheem Sterling as he went onto collect the ball from the sideline during Manchester City match against Chelsea.

Premier League club Chelsea have said that they will look into video footage to find out who is the real culprit in an incident of racial abuse during their encounter against Manchester City. The Blues won the match by 2-0, with goals coming from N’Golo Kante and David Luiz. This was also the first loss that the Citizens had to face in the Premier League this season.

However, the glory of the big win has been somewhat marred by the allegations of racial abuse against the Pensioners. A video footage, which was posted online, has shown that Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling was the victim on this occasion as he was being shouted at by a Chelsea supporter when he went to collect the ball from the sideline.

The Metropolitan Police has also said in a statement that it will look into the matter and make arrests if necessary. Chelsea, on their part, have also released a statement regarding the incident that says, “We are aware of a video circulating online in which it is claimed racial abuse was allegedly directed at a player at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.” The club authority added, “We will review the footage to determine whether any offences have been committed.”
