Chelsea are closing in on a double signing worth roughly £52million, as they look set to announce the deals for Atletico Madrid duo Diego Costa and Filipe Luis.
According to numerous reports in Spain, The Blues have already agreed a deal in principle with the La Liga champions, and they should wrap up the double-deal fairly soon.
Jose Mourinho has already wrapped up the signing of Cesc Fabregas from FC Barcelona, and he has already seen Costa complete his medical and agree personal terms with the club, so all that is left is for the deal to be formall announced.
As for Luis, it’s reported that the Premier League side have willingly met his release clause in his contract of around £21m.
The Blues are keen on signing a new left-back after Ashley Cole left this Summer, and it looks like Luis is their man, despite heavy interest in Southampton starlet Luke Shaw.
If Chelsea do wrap up the two deals for the Madrid players, it will see their spending rise to £79m already.
