Spanish giants FC Barcelona will turn their attentions to Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, if they fail to land number-one target Luis Suarez, from Liverpool.
Reports in Spain are strongly suggesting that both Barcelona and Real Madrid are desperate to sign the Liverpool star, and are willing to spend around £70million on the Uruguayan, who knocked England out of the World Cup on Thursday.
Officials at the Nou Camp are wary that Brendan Rodgers may not be willing to let Suarez leave Anfield this Summer, especially after finishing second in the Premier League last year, so with that in mind, the Spanish club are putting together a back-up plan as well, and Hazard is that option.
Barca are feeling confident that they could force Chelsea into selling the Belgium, if they offer the right amount of money, and with Jose Mourinho keen on raising funds in order to spend on bringing in his own players, a potential transfer could be in place.
However, the 23-year-old isn’t the only man of that back-up list, as Barca are also keeping tabs on Sergio Aguero, Robin Van Persie, Gonzalo Higuain and Marco Reus.
