Chelsea duo Armando Broja and Malang Sarr in talks for joint move to Turkish Club
In an unexpected twist in transfer market, Chelsea stars Armando Broja and Malang Sarr are apparently in talks to join the same European club, according to journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.
Both players, who have struggled to find opportunities at Stamford Bridge, are thought to be discussing an exit strategy together, with a potential move to a Turkish club on the horizon.
Broja, who made a rare start against Everton recently, failed to make an impression, adding to his limited playing time this season.
Despite Chelsea’s first-choice striker Nicolas Jackson’s problems, the 22-year-old Albanian has fallen down the pecking order. Broja’s progress has also been impeded by a catastrophic knee injury he sustained a year ago.
Sarr, on the other hand, has received little attention at Stamford Bridge this season. When asked about the Frenchman, Mauricio Pochettino’s chilly response hinted to his secondary status in the group.
Chelsea is in need to sell Sarr and his salaries during the upcoming January transfer window after failing to arrange a transfer for him during the summer.
Although it has been reported that Broja is not keen on a move to Turkey, Chelsea’s ownership sees this potential transfer as an opportunity to profit.
The club is presently prioritizing the purchase of a number nine, with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Brentford’s Ivan Toney allegedly on their radar.
As the transfer window approaches, the fate of Broja and Sarr hangs in the balance, with both players seemingly open to a new chapter in their careers.
