Bayern Munich man has had a falling out with club officials

Chelsea have joined Premier League rivals Arsenal in the race to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze.

The German World Cup winner has reportedly had a major bust-up with the club’s officials after his agent criticised how Gotze was being treated at the club.

Gotze Struggles at Munich

The midfielder’s agent made a comment about the club and suggested that his client wasn’t being treated fairly and wasn’t given enough game-time.

Gotze completed a move to Munich from Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund, but due to the competition for places in midfield, the 23-year-old has struggled to get regular first-team football.

Premier League Interest

Arsenal are long-term admirers of the German and wanted to sign him during his Dortmund days, however, he chose to join Munich and now The Gunners face more competition trying to land him this summer.

Chelsea have reportedly entered the race to sign him and are prepared to meet Munich’s asking price of £49.6million for the German star.

It’s believed Jose Mourinho is a big admirer of Gotze and wanted to sign him for Real Madrid during his days at the Bernabeu.

However, according to other reports, it’s claimed that Chelsea have already agreed a deal to sign a midfielder, with Charles Aranguiz reportedly on his way to Stamford Bridge.
