Another name added to Roman Abramovich’s shortlist

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is considering Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri for the permanent Chelsea job next summer.

The Blues have appointed Guus Hiddink as an interim-boss until the end of the season, but it’s understood he won’t continue the role into next season.

Hiddink was appointed on Saturday following Jose Mourinho‘s dismissal on Thursday, and Abramovich is already putting together a shortlist for the permanent job.

Pep Guardiola tops the list, but with the Spaniard strongly linked with a move to Manchester City, Abramovich could be forced to look elsewhere.

Allegri Considered

If that does happen, it’s understood Allegri could be a realistic target. He’s currently manager at Juve and guided them to the Serie A title last season and also the Champions League final.

The Italian also won the Serie A title when he was at the San Siro with AC Milan, and although he’s lost several stars at Juve, he’s recovered them from a poor start and got them within three points of the league-leaders.
