Chelsea have declared an interest in Barcelona prodigy Xavier Simons. The youngster (aged just 11!) has been hailed as a big star for the future after impressing in Barca’s youth academy, La Masia.
Reports are claiming that, despite the boy’s age, Chelsea are offering to bring the Dutchman’s family to London, so that he can join the Blues. However, it is also understood that the La Liga giants have held talks with his parents and they have convinced the midfielder to stay. Jose Mourinho is though ready tome in with a new and improved offer, in a final bid to bring Simons to Stamford Bridge.
The Catalan club have quite the reputation for producing some of the best players in football, for example Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta to name just two. And it looks like Simons could be another one, with the future looking very bright for the 11-year old.
