Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri thinks that the club need only one more signing before the transfer window closes.
Chelsea haven’t made much of an expenditure in the transfer window compared to other clubs. They have signed only Jorginho and Robert Green this summer. However, Sarri doesn’t think that the club is short-handed.
Sarri said, “I think we need something. But only maybe one player. I spoke with the club about the market but only one time, no more. I spoke about positions but no specifics – no names – so I don’t know.”
Sarri also claimed that he wanted to stay at Chelsea for a long time unlike many of the Chelsea coaches in the past 5-6 years. The Italian said,”It depends on the club, I want to stay here for many years. I have to win and then it depends on the club but I want to stay here for a long time.”
Chelsea play Manchester City at the Community Shield tomorrow before playing their last pre-season game against Lyon on Tuesday. The Blues begin their Premier League campaign against Huddersfield Town on 11th August.
