Arsenal left back Sead Kolasinac has been ruled out for up to 10 weeks due to a knee injury he sustained in Arsenal’s pre-season match against Chelsea. The 25-year old Bosnian limped off during the match against Chelsea at Dublin after a collision with Victor Moses. 20-year old Ainsley Maitland-Niles replaced him.

Chelsea had taken an early lead thanks to Antonio Rudiger. Even though Alvaro Morata missed a penalty a few minutes later, Chelsea were looking good throughout the game, particularly 17-year old Callum Hudson-Oboi. However, the Gunners equalised in the dying moments of the match thanks to Alexandre Lacazette.

The match eventually went to penalties and Arsenal prevailed 6-5 as Petr Cech saved Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s penalty in sudden death.

Kolasinac won’t feature during the Premier League probably until Arsenal’s match against Leicester City. Kolasinac was one of Arsenal’s regulars last season, starting 25 League games.

Arsenal begin their Premier League campaign against Manchester City on 12th August.
