Chelsea midfielder Mohamed Salah could be set for a Premier League loan switch this January, with up to four clubs interested in his signature.

Salah has yet to hit the ground running in England since his 2013 switch from Swiss side Basle, but Mourinho doesn’t want to lose him on a permanent deal so is willing to offer him out in a bid to get some first-team football this season.

Sunderland, QPR, Stoke and Everton are all thought to be keen on Salah, with former Chelsea player and current Sunderland manager Gus Poyet thought to be the favourite to land a temporary deal for the Egyptian.

With half a season of Premier League games under his belt, Mourinho see’s is as an opportunity for Salah to impress and come back next season challenging the likes of Willian and Andre Schurlle for a more permanent role in the Chelsea XI.
