Chelsea have offered Mohamed Salah to Fiorentina in a bid to push through a move for Juan Cuadrado. The Blues are still trying to secure a deal for the Colombian winger and could offer Salah as part of a new bid.

SportMediaset is reporting that Fiorentina have agreed a deal with Jose Mourinho to send Cuadrado to the Premier League and that Egyptian winger Salah is now part of a deal after Chelsea had an original cash only offer rejected last week. The bid was believed to be worth around ÂŁ20m.

Of course there is a release clause in the 26-year old’s contract worth ÂŁ26.8m, which would automatically let the player move to Stamford Bridge, but Chelsea have yet to match that fee. Meanwhile, Fiorentina owner Andrea Della Valle has insisted that he wants to keep Cuadrado at the club. He said:

“Cuadrado’s future? We’re thinking about the Genoa game. The clause is there, but we set it very high because we want him to stay with us for a long time.”
