Chelsea offer Stoke Moses for Begovic

Chelsea and Stoke City could be completing a swap deal in the coming weeks involving goalkeeper Asmir Begovic and winger Victor Moses following the expected transfer of goalkeeper Petr Cech to Arsenal.

Cech’s move to rivals Arsenal means that the Blues will need a new understudy for their number one keeper Thibaut Courtois.

Blues manager Jose Mourinho has Begovic at the top of his summer transfer target list and is ready to use winger Victor Moses as bait to sign the 28-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international so he can replace their long-serving Czech Republic international.

Stoke City are not interested in letting the Bosnian sign for Chelsea on his own for money, but their hierarchy have revealed they would consider money plus Moses, after the Nigeria international impressed Potters boss Mark Hughes while on loan at the Britannia last campaign.

The 24-year-old hasn’t featured in Chelsea’s first-team since 203 after loans at Liverpool and Stoke with his Stamford Bridge future being in doubt.

Cech’s exit is set to be announced once a final transfer fee has been agreed between Chelsea and Arsenal.
