Borussia Dortmund have reportedly offered Chelsea the chance to sign striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January.

Aubameyang was heavily linked with a summer move away from the Bundesliga outfit

The Gabon international was suspended by the club for disciplinary reasons earlier this month and was then shown a red card in their incredible 4-4 draw with bitter rivals Schalke 04 on Saturday as Dortmund squandered a 4-0 half-time lead in the Ruhr derby.

Both incidents are understood to have further damaged his already strained relationship with the club, and The Mirror claims that Dortmund have now informed some of Europe’s top teams that he is available in January.

The Mirror report that Chelsea are “among a number of clubs” to have been told he will be available in the winter window.

It adds that Dortmund will sell Gabon international Aubameyang after deciding they have “had enough” following a campaign “peppered with controversy,” despite his prolific strike rate of 17 goals in 19 matches so far.
