Manchester United defensive trio Luke Shaw, Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian could all be allowed to leave the club in January, according to reports in the Daily Telegraph.

The three have all fallen down the pecking order this season, and with Jose Mourinho keen to make upgrades in the full-back positions especially he will first need to let some players leave.

Shaw is yet to make a Premier League appearance so far this season, and has never been a favourite of the Portuguese manager. It seems that he will have to move on to kick start his career elsewhere.

Meanwhile, Darmian and Blind have made just five starts between them out of a possible 26. The Italian has been the subject of interest from Serie A teams such as Roma and Juventus.

All three players were brought to the club under Louis van Gaal but have failed to make a real impact since his departure. Blind featured more last season and provides good versatility, but will be frustrated by his lack of opportunities at the moment.

The Telegraph say that it’s unlikely all three players will be allowed to leave at once, but it is likely that United will listen to any bids that come in for the trio.
