Chelsea are set to offer Paris Saint-Germain £40million for striker Edinson Cavani.
It’s been widely reported that the Uruguayan striker will leave the club this Summer as they try to meet the Financial Fair Play rules, and with PSG keen on signing Angel Di Maria, they are looking into selling both Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi.
The striker has also been linked with a move to Manchester United, but it’s thought that he would prefer a switch to Chelsea due to them playing in the Champions League next season.
The 27-year-old has publicly stated his desire to stay in France with the Ligue 1 champions, but it’s thought that he would jump at the chance to join the Premier League side if a formal offer comes in.
With Romelu Lukaku leaving to join Everton permanently, Chelsea are currently left with just three recognised strikers.
