Chelsea might look to let their left-back Emerson Palmieri leave on a swap deal with Juventus.
In return, they would bring in the Brazilian left-back Rogerio, who is currently plying his trade for Sassuolo on loan from Juventus.
According to Calciomercato, Chelsea are set to let their Brazilian left-back Emerson Palmieri leave for Juventus on a swap deal. The other end would see his compatriot Rogerio arrive at Stamford Bridge. The 21-year-old is currently plying his trade for the Serie A side Sassuolo on loan from Juventus.
The Blues are currently having an acute shortage of quality players to lead their line and they would hope that this deal could further open the possibility of getting their hands on Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain, who is currently playing for AC Milan. The in-form striker is a big fan of current Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri, under whom he played at Napoli before moving to Juventus. It would be interesting to see whether the Italian gaffer and Argentine striker would be able to reunite in England or not.
However, for the time being, getting Rogerio seems to be a top priority for the Blues as they look to use Emerson as the bait to lure the 21-year-old to Stamford Bridge. Emerson has been hugely underused by Sarri and it seems Rogerio would also arrive at the west London club as a backup for Marcos Alonso.
