In a desperate attempt to land a new centre-half, reports are saying the Blues are willing to offer up Chelsea star Eden Hazard for Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci.
Antonio Conte has put a new central defender at the top of his wanted list following a disappointing start to the new season and Bonucci is his top target.
Reports over the past week are suggesting that the Blues would be willing to offer around £60m to land their man.
However, it now seems that they’d be happy to let Hazard go if it meant adding defensive stability to their ranks.
Swapping the Belgian forward for Bonucci would lower the Blue’s outlay, with Hazard valued at a hefty £55m by transfer resource website Transfermarkt.
While a straight cash deal for Bonucci is not completely out of the question, Chelsea would have to pay a world-record fee for a defender to have any chance of doing a deal.
