Juventus confirm bid contract won’t tempt him away

Juventus chief Beppe Marotta has sent a word of warning to Chelsea regarding Massimiliano Allegri’s future.

The Italian is believed to be one name on Roman Abramovich‘s shortlist for the permanent managerial role at Stamford Bridge, but Marotta has insisted that it will take more than a big contract to lure him away from the Turin club.

Allegri guided Juve to the Serie A title last season, and also helped them reach the Champions League final before falling short against FC Barcelona.

After a troubled start to the campaign this year, Juventus are currently on an incredible 14-game winning streak.

Speaking about his manager, Marotta confirmed that it would take more than just money to convince Allegri to move clubs, especially as they have no intentions on letting him leave.

Juve Aim to keep Allegri

“We have a great rapport with Allegri,” Marotta said.

“Now the crucial moment of the season is coming up, so we should focus on that.

“In any case, contracts are not as important as the rapport between people. With Allegri the conditions are all there to continue.

“The team is doing well and improving a great deal.”
