Chelsea are set to go head to head with Ajax and Manchester United in order to secure 19 year old Daly Sinkgraven’s signtature.
Louis Van Gaal has been an admirer of the youngster for a while now but Chelsea have been linked with a move for the Dutchman too after their scout Pier de Visser revealed he was looking at the Heerenveen player.
De Visser told Voetbal International: “On Daley Sinkgraven, I find it very difficult to say anything because I’ve agreed with Chelsea that I will not speak about the talents that are on our list.”
“I follow him and that goes beyond watching a game from time to time.”
He added: “I look for five things, technique, anticipation, passing, dribbling, vision. Can he read the game, see the right solution?”
“Physically, has he speed, power, enduranceand mental dexterity? He absolutely has to have the will to win.”
Sinkgraven is said to be favouring a move to Frank de Boer’s Ajax but will consider his options.
Sinkgraven said in November:”I see it is a compliment that such big clubs are interested.
“I would first prefer to play at the top of the Netherlands. I think it is too soon to move to a foreign country. Ajax would be a nice step.”
It is likely that Heerenveen will hold on to their young talent this month but it will be a challenge to keep him in the summer transfer window.
