Blues desperate for Bayern Munich boss to take over at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea want Pep Guardiola as their next manager and are prepared to pay him whatever he wants, according to reports.
The Blues are expected to be in search for a new manager as pressure on Jose Mourinho continues to mount following their ninth loss in the Premier League already this season.
Chelsea are 16th in the table and just one point above the drop-zone following 16 games, and Roman Abramovich is getting more and more worried about the situation at Stamford Bridge.
As of yet, Mourinho is still in his job, but all could change if there is another defeat this weekend at home to Sunderland.
If Mourinho was to leave, it’s reported that Guardiola would be Abramovich‘s number-one target, and he’s reportedly ready to offer him a blank cheque to join Chelsea.
Manchester City are also keen on signing the Spaniard, with reports suggesting they’ll offer him a four-year deal worth £84million in order to replace Manuel Pellegrini.
Guardiola has admitted he’s likely to leave Munich in the summer and that has sparked interest from the Premier League.
As it stands however, Manchester United are in pole position to land the manager as he wants to experience the Old Trafford hot-seat.
