Nicolas Jackson, Chelsea’s young striker, has drawn attention as he starts his first season at Stamford Bridge. Andy Jacobs, a football expert, has questioned Jackson’s suitability for the team, given his uneven performance and goal-scoring record.

When discusing Jackson, Jacobs stated: “He’s so flimsy. Who looked at that bloke and thought this is a guy who can play in the Premier League? It’s just embarrassing.

“It’s not his fault that he isn’t up to it, he’s just not up to it.”

Despite appearing in 11 matches this season, Jackson has only found the back of the net three times. Fans and experts have been upset by his wasted chances in front of goal. While Jackson’s form has been undoubtedly unpredictable, others say that the level of criticism raised at him may be too much.

In a recent assessment, Jacobs pointed out Jackson’s inability to convert chances but also complimented the young forward’s remarkable movement and effort rate on the field. Former Chelsea midfielder Peter Crouch also questioned Jackson’s ability to be a long-term No. 9 for the Blues.

However, Jackson’s fans are not ready to write him off completely. Many believe he can contribute to the team as a second striker alongside an experienced frontman.

As Chelsea prepares to face Blackburn Rovers in the Carabao Cup Round of 16, all eyes will be on Jackson to see whether he will seize the opportunity to prove his worth. Only time will tell whether the 22-year-old can silence his critics and realize his full potential in the coming years.

  1. Well. he ‘s been tried,
With every match the probability of him sometime emerging as a top class forward becomes less and less. I ‘m sure he could already shine in a less demanding league, for example Austria or Greece, but we are talking about Chelsea.
Yet sincerely I hope he improves.
