Chelsea are lining up a £6.5million bid for Juventus midfielder Stephan Lichtsteiner.
Lichtsteiner is about to enter the final year of his contract and is yet to negotiate a new one at the Turin club. He has just picked up his 3rd Serie A winners medal with Juventus, and is set to go to the World Cup with Switzerland this summer.
Chelsea have been monitoring the situation for a while, and are ready to make their move. They have reportedly been tracking the player for several years. They are keen to add an attacking full back to the team, and believe a fee of just £6.5million would be enough to take him away from Juventus.
With Ashley Cole announcing that he will be leaving Chelsea this summer, a move could well be on the cards, though Arsenal and Manchester United are both also interested and could also be ready to make a move for the former Lazio man.
