According to Sky Sports, Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger will sign a new contract at the club in the next 48 hours.

The Frenchman’s contract at the club expires in the summer, with specualtion rising that the manager would move on.

But it seems that the club have their full faith and trust in the manager, after sealing the Fa Cup by defeating Hull City at Wembley on Saturday.

Wenger will wrap up the agreement before the World Cup starts, where he will travel to Brazil as a pundit for French television.

Wenger said: “Yes (it will be done), because I go to Brazil on the 10th of June.”

The Gunners became the first team to overturn a two-goal deficit and lift the FA Cup since Everton beat Sheffield Wednesday in 1966.

Wenger said: “We live in a world where people tell you always what you have not (done), they never tell you that you have done something as well.

“I believe as well the quality of a club is the consistency and then the special players make you win the trophies.

“The quality of the consistency is important for the club and on that front we have been better than everybody else – there are only two clubs in Europe who have 17 years consecutively qualified for the Champions League and that consistency demands special values inside the club.”
