PSG will not sell the Argentine winger this month
Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc insists Ezequiel Lavezzi will not be sold to Chelsea or Inter Milan this month.
The 30-year-old’s contract runs out with the Ligue 1 champions in the summer and the Blues had been strongly linked with a January move for the player.
However, Blanc insists the club haven’t agreed to his departure, meaning Chelsea’s hopes of a January swoop look all-but ended.
Eden Hazard has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and Lavezzi could been seen as his short-term replacement as the Argentina international enters the latter stages of his career.
Meanwhile, Inter Milan’s attempts to sign the player would help boost their title chances, as they currently sit nine points short of Serie A leaders Napoli.
Lavezzi future made clear
“We have been very clear with Lavezzi. We have been very, very clear with him,” Blanc said.
“We have been very clear on his situation. He cannot say the contrary. We all know that if someone wants to leave the club, all parts of the club must agree. Apparently, that is not the case because he hasn’t moved.” Blanc added.
“His contract ends in June and there is a strategy. Well, not really a strategy, but there is a position to stand, hold or keep.
