Chile manager Jorge Sampaoli has stated that Manchester United have been warned over signing Arturo Vidal, due to the player’s persistant knee injury.
United have been linked with a move for Vidal over recent weeks, with Van Gaal set to bid £47 million for the Juventus man.
And Chile manager Sampaoli, who oversaw Vidal’s progress at the World Cup finals, has claimed that Van Gaal’s know’s about Vidal’s recent surgery over a knee.
‘I know that the main problem in Vidal’s $80m [£47m] transfer from Juventus to Manchester United is Louis van Gaal’s doubt over the improvement of Arturo’s knee,’ Sampaoli told Chilean newspaper El Mercurio.
