Manchester City are reportedly planning a ÂŁ50million move for Kevin De Bruyne

City are willing to do battle with Manchester United to land the Wolfsburg player, according to the Telegraph.

The 24-year-old is due to return from holiday soon and will then sit down with the Bundesliga side to discuss his future.

Wolfsburg are under no pressure to sell De Bruyne but they could accept a huge offer for the Belgium international, with Paris Saint-Germain also thought to be interested.

PSG eye De Bruyne and Pogba

PSG manager Laurent Blanc is thought to be a big admirer of De Bruyne and could swoop for him alongside Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

PSG defender David Luiz recently spoke about his admiration for the France international and how he would love to see him at the club next season.

De Bruyne could join the champions of France however he may decide he wants to make a statement by returning to the Premier League.

He joined Chelsea back in 2012 for a reported ÂŁ7million but only played a handful of times before being loaned out to Genk and then Werder Bremen.

Pogba speculation

The Juventus midfielder looked to be heading to Barcelona but City might hijack the move by making a record ÂŁ71million bid for the 22-year-old.

Manchester United beat the previous British transfer record by paying Real Madrid nearly ÂŁ60million for Angel Di Maria but City could top that by ÂŁ11million if they pursue Paul Pogba.

City manager Manuel Pellegrini is thought to be a big admirer of the France international and could make a big-money move after UEFA eased their regulations on Financial Fair Play.
