Claude Puel believes Leicester City’s time will have happy times very soon.

The Foxes are having a tough time in the Premier League following their back to back defeats at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace. To make the matter worse Puel’s side crashed out of the Carabao Cup after their penalty shootout defeat to Manchester City.

It has been a season of ups and downs for the Foxes. Following the tragic incident of their owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha they had a hard time mourning the loss of their passionate owner.

But with time they have managed to pull together and are currently in the 12th place. But their position could be in danger as they are scheduled to face Chelsea and Manchester City in the next two matches.

Puel said, “I think we have improved without the results – I will explain.

“If we look at just our last game at Palace, if we had won we would be seventh in the table. We lost and we are 12th. It is the difference.

“We have wasted a lot of opportunities to move up to find a place in the top of the rankings. It is a shame.

“I have confidence in the squad and their progress, and about their learning. I think we will have a strong second half of the season

“We made a good performance without getting the results. Sometimes we have been unlucky and sometimes we have had elements go against us.

“It is important to manage all this and keep on track and continue this journey.”
