Leicester City manager Claude Puel insists had they not missed a number of gilt edged chances they could have bagged all the three points against Liverpool at Anfield.
Liverpool wasted an excellent opportunity to build a healthy lead at the top following their 1-1 draw with Leicester City on their home turf. Sadio Mane opened the scoring very early and the Reds were on course to register a smooth victory over the Foxes.
But just before the break Harry Maguire nodded it home to make it 1-1 for the away side. Both sides missed a host of opportunities but failed to break the deadlock for the remainder of the game.
Leicester salvaged a point after three defeats in a row but says they deserved a better result. “I think it is a good performance.
“I have a little regret at the end because we had some fantastic chances at the beginning of the second half.
“We started slowly and conceded a goal but after we showed fantastic character and personality.
“We put them under pressure at the beginning of the second half and in this period we have to be more clinical.”
