Claude Puel has called on his Leicester City players to rectify their mistakes when they travel to the Merseyside to face Everton.
Following two back to back huge scalps Leicester were expected to put Cardiff City rest to bed quite easily but the Wales side came out as the better side as they registered a slender 1-0 win over the Foxes in the Premier League.
Puel guided his team to victories against Chelsea and Manchester City but failed to read Cardiff’s pulse. The newly promoted side held their fort quite well and Leicester ended 2018 on a losing note.
But Puel is determined to make a winning start to the new year and has instructed his players to buckle up. “It’s not our concern for the moment.
“We lost at home [to Cardiff] and want to play the next game, it will be Everton, and we want to take points.
“There is a lot of disappointment. A lot of teams can take this ranking in the table, because the Premier League is so difficult, a lot of teams can be in a good ranking until the end.
“Most important thing for me, it was the first game of the second half of the season, and it was an important game to start. We lost this game and need have the right response against Everton.”
