Sporting Lisbon chairman Bruno De Carvalho has admitted that the club could sell Chelsea and Manchester United target William Carvalho this Summer.
The two Premier League sides have shown interest in the Portuguese midfielder, with United keen on his signature last Summer, and according to reports, both clubs are willing to spend over £30million on the 22-year-old.
Despite the interest being shown, De Carvalho has admitted that no formal bids have been made yet, with reports suggesting a £37m bid was made by United, but the chairman then followed up by saying anything can happen in football.
De Carvalho said: “We haven’t received any formal or informal proposals for any of our players.
“Is a sale possible? Nothing is impossible in football.”
Both United and Chelsea have already spent big this Summer, with The Blues purchasing Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas, whilst United have signed Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw.
