Academy goalkeeper Jared Thompson will spend the forthcoming season on loan at Chippenham Town.
The 18-year-old featured throughout our Treble-winning Under-18 campaign in 2016/17, having also won the FA Youth Cup and the UEFA Youth League the year before.
Thompson, an England youth international, will now continue his development by getting his first experience of senior football. Chippenham are in the National League South.
Bluebirds manager Mark Collier said: “ I am delighted that Chelsea have allowed us to secure Jared for the season. He will continue to train with Chelsea during the week.”
