Manchester United and Holland midfielder Daley Blind icould be out injured for a maximum of three months, according to United manager Louis Van Gaal.

The injury was suffered when Blind was playing for Holland in their 6-0 win over Latvia in their Euro 2016 qualifier last week.

United tweeted saying that the injury would keep the former Ajax man out for six months, but Van Gaal moved quickly to deny this.

”First he needs to rest for 10 days, then we will have a better idea..

”I can’t say it wil be six to eight weeks. I can’t even say it will be 10 to 12 weeks. But it is definitely not six months.”

However some good news for the Old Trafford side are that the trio of Michael Carrick, David De Gea and Angel Di Maria are all fit and available for the visit to Arsenal this weekend.
