FC Barcelona defender Dani Alves wants to stay in Spain, according to his agent, who is also his ex-wife.

Despite the Brazilian revealing last month his plans were to move to England next Summer once his contract expires in Spain, it now appears that his plans are to stay with the Catalan giants and sign a contract extension at the Nou Camp.

Alves’ statement alerted Premier League quartet; Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool, who are all interested in the right-back, but according to his agent, it appears that a transfer away will not be happening in the near-future.

Dinorah Santa Ana, Alves’ agent, has stated: “His future is uncertain. Right now, we’re not negotiating with anyone – not with Barca nor any other club,” she told Catalunya Radio.

“We would like to stay here, mainly because our children are here. No one has told us that they want him to go.”

She then aded: “A year ago he did say he liked the Premier League, but that interview was a long time ago.”
