Yohan Cabaye considers Paris exit

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, Yohan Cabaye, has admitted that he may leave the club, despite joining them under a year ago.

The Frenchman left Newcastle United in January in order to join the French giants, but since then, limited first-team opportunities has frustrated the midfielder, and he has now revealed that he may consider an exit in the New Year.

Due to serious competition in the midfield at Paris, the 28-year-old has spent most of the year on the bench, and he has admitted that he doesn’t agree with how Laurent Blanc runs things at the club.

However, despite being unhappy at his role within the club, he doesn’t want to walk out on them so quickly, but insists that if nothing changes, he will be forced to re-think his career path.

‘This doesn’t suit me. I’ve not spoken to Blanc about my situation,’ he told L’Equipe.

‘I am 28 years old and not just starting out. I won’t change my style now. The coach’s choices must be respected, but I won’t quit.

‘I have the character & my goal is to show what I can do on pitch. I know I must play very well in order to keep my place in team.’

The midfielder was strongly linked with a move to Arsenal before he completed his switch to Paris, and it’s reported that Arsene Wenger may renew his interest if Cabaye chooses to call it a day in France.
