Liverpool star, Daniel Sturridge, has released a statement to the club’s fans to address his current situation.
The Englishman has struggled with injury all season and has now suffered a further setback to his recovery, ruling him out until the New Year.
Sturridge first injured his groin during international duty with England, which left him out for a month, but with just one week left on his rehab, he suffered a thigh injury, ruling him out for a further month.
After recovering from that, he was expected to take part in the Crystal Palace game on Sunday, but yet another groin injury has ruled him out for yet another month.
Sturridge took to his official Twitter account last night to address the fans and send a message to them.
Sturridge tweeted: “Through all this I’m growing as a man and an athlete.
“Everybody goes through things in their life that can make or break them. This for me is just another hurdle to jump over. Another door to break down.
“I’ll be back soon enough strong and ready to play. Thanks to everyone for your support.”
