The son of footballing legend, David Beckham, is set to join Arsenal on a one-year deal.
Brooklyn Beckham, 15, has reportedly had trials at three Premier League clubs already, and has decided to snub Manchester United and Chelsea, in order to join Arsenal, the team he supports.
Despite his father being a hero-figure at Old Trafford, Brooklyn has decided to go against joining United and has accepted a short-term deal from the North London club, who were impressed by him during his trials.
It’s reported that The Gunners have offered him a 12-month contract, but could offer him a more permanent deal if he continues to impress during his time at the club.
A close source to Arsenal revealed how impressed the club were with the teenager.
‘Brooklyn is talented and he has stood out in all of the training sessions and games he has played.’
‘He has had other teams sniffing around and it was always going to be a case of when, not if, he was signed up by a big-name club.
‘Arsenal realise he can be a huge talent.
‘They have seen that potential and protected their asset.
‘The club has signed him, fending off interest from Manchester United and Chelsea in the meantime.’
The source added: ‘Next summer we may see him sign a big-money deal and with Arsenal.’
