A fan dressed up as the Grim Reaper to shout at Moyes from the stands during Wednesday’s Champions League victory over Olympiakos

The end is nigh for David Moyes. No, he hasn’t been sacked as Manchester United manager. But one fan is calling for his head already, and made their opinion felt in the most bone-chilling of ways during Wednesday’s 3-0 Champions League victory over Olympiakos.

While Moyes was left to celebrate a Robin van Persie hat-trick that sent his side through to the quarter-finals in Europe and lift the gloom hanging over Old Trafford, it appeared that death himself had got hold of a ticket at the Theatre of Dreams.

A fan stood up among the United faithful dressed up as the Grim Reaper, and was overheard bellowing “Moyes, I’m coming for you!”

United fan Will Rooney took the snap of the heckler, who was seated in the South Stand behind where Moyes sat in the dugout, but his calls for the end of the former Everton manager were quickly drowned out as United fans celebrated van Persie’s opener from the spot, before he added another two goals to give the Red Devils a 3-2 aggregate win.

Reports earlier in the week claimed that Moyes needed strong performances in his next three matches, with the result against the Greek side getting him off to a strong start – although he denied after the match that his future was in any doubt.

United take on West Ham this weekend, before a crucial Manchester derby against their fierce rivals Manchester City on Tuesday night that could go a long way in determining his future at Old Trafford.

Despite being given a chance to overturn United’s fortunes, it seems one fan is already calling for Moyes’ head.
